Committee Guidelines
Purpose: Defines expected results of a committees work (not what’s to be done to fulfill goal)
Responsibilities: Activities/actions that must be performed to fulfill assigned purpose
Organization: Number of members, method to select chair, members’ terms of office, roles of officers and board liaison, desired characteristics
Operations: Time, place and frequency of meetings; meeting minutes; reports to board and when; approval process for committee’s use of association funds
